Newborns, Infants & Babies

Whether this is your first baby or second (or third or fourth) photographing those early days, weeks or months is an important first step to documenting this new little life you’ve created. Siblings also a play and important part of your session since they will be Baby’s new best friend.

My approach to baby and family photography is usually a more cozy and relaxed at-home session where we will spend about an hour or so together in a casual setting where you all feel comfortable and can kick your shoes off. I usually utilize the baby's room, your bedroom, the family room, etc. I love using natural window light to help create a softness and natural feel to the photos.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When should I book?

A: If you want to capture your baby as a newborn, make sure to book a couple months in advance. If you do not have a scheduled delivery, once you and Baby have arrived home safe and healthy, reach out to pick your date. Please stay flexible to a weekday session during this time since my weekends tend to be booked in advance. If you are fine with baby photos anytime in the first few months, then reach out whenever you’re ready. Babies are cute at any age!

Q: What should we wear?

A: I have some outfit guides to pass along for inspiration, beauty and comfort. It’s really up to you and your style, but I can help you get there.

Q: What should I do to prepare my home? We just had a baby and my house is a disaster!

A: Throw all your stinky socks in the hamper and move those toys in a corner. I’ll come in and maneuver a few things around to make it look spotless.

Q: Do you have props?

A: I do bring posing pillows with me to sessions, however I prefer to use the blankies and special toys that Baby has been gifted. It makes it more personal and custom. On that note, I have a few neutral colored wraps for swaddling.

Q: What if we’d rather go outside?

A: Then we go outside! Bring a quilt for us to sit and snuggle up. We’ll find a nice location not too far from your home.

Q: Can we bring the dog?

A: If you don’t, I’ll be really sad.
